Even respected engine builders can run into cash-flow problems, parts shortages, rising costs, or financial trouble. Once you’ve paid in full, your money may already be spent keeping the business operating long before your engine is completed.

If that shop suddenly closes or files bankruptcy, you could find yourself standing in line with other creditors—without your engine and without your money.

A safer approach is to MAKE payment WHEN engine is finished and ready for delivery. In today’s racing business, protect yourself just as carefully as you protect your motor.
